EDIT:
No longer matters, they've reworked Section 11 to be correct for Chrome. Enjoy.

Meh, you still own copyright, they're just talking about advertising purposes. Not a huge deal.

Exactly.
I'm sorry if that was a RUDE POST or :GRRR ANGER: (I was angry, btw, I just got done explaining the exact same thing to another person JUST BEFORE THAT POST) or something, but you don't know how grating it is to have to explain the same stuff to people who aren't willing to figure it out on their own or at least research it minutely on their own well over 100 times in 24 hours.

tbh, even without reading teh eula, that blog looks retarded
is it even possible for blog and email data to be sent through teh browser to google's servers?
(unless u use google's gmail or blog services, but then that data would get sent to their servers no matter which browser u use)

No, because they don't collect anything except logs of how you use features of Chrome, its crash reports, and mistakes that happen in omnibar (for example, if I mistype GWG's url, it'll send that to Google and they'll improve the Omnibar so it tells me the real GWG's url.).
Even Gmail doesn't collect your e-mail address. They don't collect any personal info. At all.

Hmm, looks promising. That EULA's pretty scary though. Mind you, I never read EULAs so I don't know how it compares to FF and IE anyway ^^

It looks interesting I might give it try when it is out of beta.

Mind you guys, it is still in beta.
The fact that it uses modern scripting and threading capabilities makes it leaps and bounds better than FF3 or IE8. It needs polish, but the core engine is simply put, amazing.
Why do you guys hate google? They can do no wrong...

i have more faith in google then any of the other internet compainys main reason: they did give the US government lists of what there users had been searching for when the government demand them.
on the subject of chrome i like it alot its a lot faster but i need my plugins!!! though the only plug in i was using in firefox was adblock so for right now i am ok.... also i would like to point out to everyone that google loves to keep things in beta EX: Gmail. the other thing i would like to point out about google is that they have been one of the biggest supporters of firefox.....

I didn't care much for the browser and I felt like Firefox is faster. Chrome simply delayed displaying the page under it was fully rendered. It's barebones which is why it's so much faster right now. After more features and such get integrated, it'll slow down. Chrome may render fast, but I think this is quite good too:
IE7 on the other hand... You literally have to hold N down to get an accurate result.

Make sure to restart your PC to get the full power of it. (also its fast cause of how it's built coding wise afaik. Features won't slow it down, much at all. (depending on the features, I guess.))
Also for comparison:

A whole 8ms faster!?
You will rue this day...
EDIT:
Also idk if anyone noticed, but in their comic, when the girl is all ITS EATING UP ALL THE INTERNET, it's Carnivore doing it, which is a program used by the FBI to basically monitor e-mails and such on the web.
EDIT EDIT:
"Here's an official response from Rebecca Ward, Senior Product Counsel for Google Chrome:
"In order to keep things simple for our users, we try to use the same set of legal terms (our Universal Terms of Service) for many of our products. Sometimes, as in the case of Google Chrome, this means that the legal terms for a specific product may include terms that don't apply well to the use of that product. We are working quickly to remove language from Section 11 of the current Google Chrome terms of service. This change will apply retroactively to all users who have downloaded Google Chrome.""
http://tapthehive.com/discuss/This_P...e_s_EULA_Sucks
Section 11 will keep its advertising intent, just the stuff related to (what I believe) is the G-Mail TOS (might be Google, idk. Can't remember) will be removed. But yea, it's just for advertising.

Having everything made by google is starting to remind me of microsoft.
I don't like having everything coming from the same company.
I'll stick to firefox, it has done great in the past.
I like that idea tho:

Also, if you run into a fatal error on a web page, only that tab will crash, not the whole browser.

It looks to be the beginnings of something beautiful. I installed it and played with it for a while. Very nice, but will definitely need the plug-in/theme support that Firefox has before I consider doing the unthinkable. I will reserve final judgment for the official 1.0 release.

Out of curiosity, Rahja and DarkNecrid, how did you get Chrome to look like Vista (specifically, the buttons in the top right)? Even with Aero enabled my Chrome is still blue on top.
EDIT: Never mind. I changed my settings back to Aero while Chrome was still open and had to restart. Silly me.

Mine reskinned itself after I restarted my PC, and reloaded it. I quite like it. (blue is ugly)

I love it, simply. But for the moment, I'm sticking with FF3 until it's finely tuned with addons and whatnot, all the bugs fixed (basically out of beta)

I use it for Guru, because it blocks the popup ads, and the others dont bother me. It loads guru far faster, and the ability to resize the text entry boxes on the fly is amazing.
